This is the first of many of the Imperial newsletters and will be my way of communicating with the people of our federation and sharing all the wonderful news and updates that happening throughout my term.
Photos Across The Federation
This photo was taken by our current Vice Chancellor as he visited our current citizen judge Potato_Duke with FrostWarrior112 to inspect damages caused by ongoing hurricane season.
I took this photo myself of my beautiful village at night, I love the way shaders makes the night sky light up at night in taiga biomes.
I had to get a photo of this amazing statue build after Byhalia posted their original photo in the Discord, it’s absolutely gigantic and worth travelling out to see it.
Economic Updates
No more taxes!
As promised, the tax on additional housing purchases has been removed. In its place, we’ve introduced a new bidding system for properties in New Callisto. This system allows interested buyers to place bids on a property, with the highest bid within 48 hours winning the property.
The big copper buyout
Within my first few days as chancellor, I successfully established three new copper block to diamond exchanges across Deluvia. These exchanges are located in Withervale, New Callisto, and Vanaheim.
The budgets are set
Many of you may not know this, but when a new chancellor is elected, they must choose their department heads and obtain budget requests from those departments within the first few days. In previous terms, this process often took longer than expected, but we have successfully ensured that our departments are fully operational from day one.
You’re a wizard farmer, Harry
We're working to enable the purchase of locally farmed goods from citizens at the federal store in New Callisto. The Department of Economy is determining the best prices to offer. Updates will be posted on Discord.
What’s new in the federation?
Is that a new town?
Several new towns have popped up across Deluvia: Everdale in Verdalon, started by Ghas; Wehtun, started by Zombie_Stalker; and Acheron, started by Byhalia. Check out town adverts on Discord to see more photos of these new places.
Department Heads
We’ve got our department heads selected for this term, with no major changes you’ll be seeing some familiar faces on this list.
Department of Infrastructure: Asgeir9
Department of Construction: CapianColton
Department of Economy: Gidein
Department of Defence: SlothInASuit
Department of Culture: S0UTHW3ST
The Department of Culture has been reintroduced to attempt to bring more in-game events to the federation lead by S0UTHW3ST, also known as Leo. They’ll be taking on team members so message him on Discord if you’d be interesting in hosting events.
Court is in session
The Senate has chosen their Senate Judge for this term: DuckDuckNuke!
Get notified!
We've introduced reaction roles to the Discord! This means you can now get notified about the announcements you're interested in and skip the ones you're not. Check out the roles channel in the Discord to stay informed on a daily basis.
The Naloran Empire?
The active state of Nalora, run by CapianColton, has taken up the duty of utilizing the previously known Southseasia Islands, formerly managed by Thule. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing warm-weather crops in New Callisto soon.
Welcoming new friends, and welcoming back old ones.
The ex-Naloran RileyNiko has started a new path in their CivMC life and founded the state of ‘>:3c’ - and yes, that’s the actual name. Their previous duchy, now known as Groveheart, was once called the ‘Duchy of :3’. If anything, she’s consistent.
This last one is a little bit of a secret… but we’ll have a new state being founded, and it’s got something to do with goats? I guess we’ll find out when the senate tells us more!
The Weekly Poll
That’s all folks!
Coming to the end of this week's newsletter, we look forward to discussing much more next week. As this is our first edition, we’re confident it will improve with time.
